Shantelle said she knew Jeremy was the one “when I could be myself and it was okay.”
That’s the whole story, right there.
Both of them have been through things that would make most people cautious about trying again. And somehow they found each other. He proposed at sunset on the top of Mauna Kea volcano in Hawaii. Their favorite place.
My favorite moment during this wedding was their private vows. As you scroll through these images, notice each of their faces as they commit to each other. They were both so ready. Their vows were from the heart and so sweet. These are two people who don’t take a single word of a promise lightly, and it showed.
During the ceremony, under a grove of trees, Shantelle’s twin sister Stephanie played violin and her husband Brad played piano as she walked down the aisle on her dad’s arm.
After the ceremony, the first photos we took were with their three kids, Logan, Alder, and Brevin. One family.
The whole night was exactly what Shantelle asked for. The people were the focus. Family and friends packed onto the dance floor, laughing and celebrating two people who chose love again.
Shantelle and Jeremy, thank you for letting us be part of this day. I am so grateful we got to be there and see you commit to a new beginning.
Enjoy my favorites!
P.S. For any couples currently in the thick of planning, Shantelle says: plan early. The less stressed you are as the day gets closer, the more you can actually enjoy it. Make the day what you want it to be. And when it comes to choosing your photographer, find someone whose work you love and whose kindness you can feel.
