This is a big day coming up, let’s help you make the most of it! This wedding day checklist for the groom will get you off to a great start on your new adventure together. It will also give you confidence knowing you’re ready for the big day.

1. Don’t party too hard the night before. Get some good rest!

  • There’s a lot happening on the day of your wedding. You’ll feel better, and so will your fiancé, if you can start with a good night’s sleep behind you.
  • It’s not a bad idea to have your ‘last night out’ a few days beforehand. Either way, be sure to plan ahead and be responsible.

2. Eat breakfast and pack some snacks

  • Hunger can be something that sneaks up on you. Best to keep something in you consistently throughout the day so you can enjoy the day and better support your love as well!
  • Having an extra snack on hand will always be appreciated.
  • You don’t want to be grumpy on your big day, and this is an easy way to avoid that.

3. Get ready early. Give yourself time to stay relaxed and appreciate what’s happening today!

  • Weddings can be stressful sometimes. It’s easy to reduce that by getting ready early and being able to show up on time to each part of the day.
  • It’s also much easier to remember everything if you’re on time or early!

4. Remember to shave and get cleaned up.

  • Not only will there be a lot of pictures, but it is also a very intimate day. A clean face is a great start and your partner will appreciate you being cleaned up as well!
  • Take special care that you and the groomsmen have their outfits pressed and ready in advance, to look your sharpest.

5. Make sure you have rings and vows ready to go.

  • Somehow, rings are an easy thing to misplace on the wedding day. Make sure you know what’s happening with yours.
  • No one wants to forget their vow on the spot because they didn’t do their part. Take time to know what you want to say and practice so that it comes naturally.

6. Smile!

  • It’s so easy to get carried away in the moment and maybe get a little stressed. Remember to smile: it will brighten your day and those around you too. Smiles are just contagious!
  • A confident, happy groom can make a world of difference, especially to their special someone!

7. Do something nice, have a surprise waiting wherever you’re staying that night.

  • Whether it’s candle light, flowers, or something else that your partner loves, they’ll be extra happy and pleased when they walk through the door and see your thoughtfulness and consideration!
  • If it’s your own place, then it never hurts to make sure your new home together is extra clean for the occasion.

I’m so excited for you, there are so many beautiful experiences ahead for you two. Make sure to enjoy and appreciate every moment of the journey! Now that you’ve got the wedding day groom checklist down, you’re pretty much ready to take on anything! Be sure to check out my blog page for other titles, if you have any other questions.
