Lexi was sitting at the front of science class in middle school when another student asked to sit in the front. So the teacher moved Lexi to the back. Right next to TJ.
The rest is history.
Lexi and TJ have the kind of ease that takes years to build. Being with them on their wedding day felt like watching two people who have always just known. No big performances, no nervous energy to manage. They’re relaxed with each other in the most real way, and it showed in everything.
Their day at The Magnolia Event Center in South Jordan had that same quality. Relaxed, beautiful, and completely full of family. Both families were close in a way you could feel all day, parents and grandparents happy and present, everyone genuinely glad to be in the same room.
Lexi’s dress was ivory and lace with a slight sparkle, and she glowed in it from the moment she put it on. The reception backdrop she made herself: an 8×8 display of photos of the two of them, every chapter of their relationship up on one wall. She told their whole story through photos, from that back row seat all the way to their wedding day.
Lexi and TJ, you two were so much fun all day. Your friends showed up for you, your families filled that room with so much love, and the two of you were happy and completely yourselves from start to finish. It was such a good day to be there.
Here are the images we can’t stop thinking about.
P.S. To the engaged couples reading this right now, Lexi says: breathe. Eat some ice cream and breathe. The day will come together. Don’t miss the time leading up to it. And when it comes to choosing your photographer, find someone you actually have a good relationship with. That matters more than you think.
